The Olympics 2012
Yep, the Olympics 2012, It's finally here (well almost). And like Marmite or The Smiths, I'm guessing you'll either hate it or love it. I happen to live in one of the Olympic boroughs, so what with the huge build up I do sometimes wonder what will happen a few weeks after, especially once the tourists and all the money has gone? This is someones ace front garden, just up the road to me. Knitted Olympics, pretty cool don't yah think?

Here comes the summer?
I used to work with these chaps. I love this photo. If I reach a ripe old-age, then I'll look at this photo and laugh.

Shabba!
Billed as The Urban Symphony, Walthamstow Town Hall witnessed artists such as MC Skepta and Miss Dynamite collaborating with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. This was followed by a firework display. We listened to the acts and watched the fireworks from the comfort of home which began to make the house feel like a tent at a festival. Wet-wipes and sleeping bags anybody?

The Stow Caledonian Pipe Band, Ceilidh
Fully tartaned up, The Stow Caledonian Pipe Band celebrated their first year by holding a special Ceilidh. This was a charity event to help raise funds for the Wingrove Hall with whom they share with the local Scouts. Even the Mayor of Walthamstow made an appearance, pretty cool a? Find out more about the band here.....
