Fear and loathing on the the Art Trail 2012

The EDL are coming to town on Saturday. This coincides with the opening of the E:17 Art Trail and going by the EDL's route, they'll be congregating pretty much over the road to my exhibition. We can pretty much assume that they're not here for the Art and I'm guessing my cafe space will probably close for the day. There's also an anti-protest march against their march going on too. And in the wise words of Hunter S.Thomspon  "How would Horatio Alger handle this situation?"

My new location : E17 Art Trail

Here's a sneak peek to the new location, Coffee and Creams. I've secured the back room (which is also available for parties) , taken a few measurements and stuck a few photo copies on the walls to work out what will be going where and just how many images to exhibit. Clearly all that time spent at art college didn't all go to waste.

Get-Callaghan on the E17 Art Trail

I'm putting on a photographic exhibition as part of the E17 Art Trail  This will run from the 1st of September to the 16th of September and as with any type of creative project it comes with it's many pitfalls, but I guess that's just all part of the journey. I've had to change venues due the Bell pub being re-vamped,  I found this out after the the Art Trail guide had gone to press. However, I've luckily secured a new ( Coffee & Cream's E17 4NE) venue just up the road, so hopefully a few signs diverting people to the new space will be okay? I've also had to re-edit the images and also think about choosing different sizes to fit the new space. I've been to a few Printspace exhibitions and I've been quite impressed with their printing and mounting, so I'll be choosing them as my printers.
No doubt I'll post some updates with my progress and I'm planning to hold an open day on Sunday the 9th of September, so keep the day free as everybody is welcome.

Good times with a lot of - "I haven't seen you since..." and on that note,  I hope life doesn't fly by to soon thus ending with me doing a 50th update. Well hopefully we all have hoverboards by then?

This is my 160G Lacie. I've had it for quite some time so I'm not too sure how much life is left in the old dog, plus It's pretty much full up.  I've decided on an upgrade and have opted for a  2 terabyte Lacie MyNas  system. Long gone are the days of darkrooms, negative holders and slide storadge devices. Welcome to the age of the wi-fi metal brick.
